Perspective
Retail taught me software
Years in luxury retail gave me something most developers lack: a deep understanding of how people actually use software. The frustrations with clunky POS systems, the workarounds for broken CRMs, the manual processes that screamed for automation.
When I started building software, I wasn't guessing what users needed — I was solving problems I'd lived with. LuxeRoster exists because I spent years watching managers struggle with paper rosters and outdated scheduling tools.
